    Too hard to chew

    This is the second time I have bought these as the first bag was great but this bag the chews are SUPER hard and my dog literally can't even chew them. They are like rocks. These kept her kidney numbers normal while she takes medicine for congestive heart failure, which are broken down by her kidneys, which can be hard on them. I am super bummed this second package is not usable/edible.

    Chews melted together

    Chews arrived melted together into one large mass. I've been trying to carefully separate them as to not let the entire bag go to waste, but they crumble easily.

    CHEWS FOR CATS & HOW TO GIVE

    This was recommended by my Vet. I just started several types of chews from Vetriscience & of course cats won't like them. Not! I get it, I have a cat. I put the entire chew on her plate & she licked it the very first time. So far so good. These are pleasing. This is how I administer: I slice them into thin short slices--these don't crumble. I put the very thin slices directly into her mouth & she swallows. 10 slices per entire chew. I had to momentarily reduce to a half chew per day for a while since I'm giving other chews. She likes the taste OK. Thin slices put directly into the mouth work great & there's no waste. With the crumbly ones, you can crumble under a spoon & mix with food, or I just put small crumbles directly into the mouth of a kitty to avoid waste & make sure he or she gets the benefits. I think most dogs eat anything. There's no strong smell to this chew. Only time will tell of the benefits. Ingredients sound good & these products have ingredients all put together that other brands can't match all in one product only. I am hopeful.
